When working in the marketing industry, mixing with other marketers at frequent networking events is a must. They are great ways to grow your connections, learn about local business and make your LinkedIn profile look even more impressive.

We are lucky enough to be based in Bournemouth, home one of the UK’s fastest-growing digital capitals. This means that there are abundances of networking events and marketing meetings. So which ones should you look out for?

1. Meetdraw, coming in June 2018

Meetdraw are notorious for their fun-packed, and sometimes bizarre networking events. From networking on ice skates to playing bingo with a picture of yourself. 2. Pure Networking – May and June 2018

Pure Networking focus solely on networking, with no speakers at events to leave more time to connect with other professionals. Their venues are often on Bournemouth beach front and informal. The ticket price covers one free drink and food is sometimes served.

3. Air Fest VIP – 30th August 2018

The most exciting event of the year for Bournemouth is the Air Festival. What better way to combine “work” with spending a day at the beach and watching the air show.? Air Fest VIP, organised by Pure Networking, goes ahead every year on Bournemouth pier. Business people are welcome to spend the day networking, partying and soaking up the sun.

4. Open Sauce – 19th April

Being held at the Canvas Loft Bar, Bournemouth, Open Sauce is a “different take on networking”. They hold exciting, stand-up comedy nights for professionals. The event has guest speakers, who only have 6 minutes 40 seconds precisely to talk. Each ticket costs £9.50 and includes one drink on the night. Tickets can be bought on Eventbrite, but be quick!

5. Adventure Golf and Drinks Networking – 3rd May

Ok, so it might not be the most well-known networking event, but this night will consist of mini-golf and meeting new people. What could be better? Organised by the Young Executive Club, this event is open for professionals aged 35 and under from any industry. Tickets cost only £5, including one game of mini-golf and 2 drinks. Places for these events often sell out fast, but tickets can be bought on Eventbrite.
