Google is expanding their editing capabilities for Google My Business. Business owners will now be able to edit more features of their Google My Business profile from Search and Maps. They are also offering a free trial of Pointy, a tool which helps local businesses get their inventory online.
Editing your Google My Business profile from Search and Maps isn’t new. However, you can now edit your local service offerings and schedule posts directly from them. If you’re a restaurant owner you will also be able to add menu offerings to your Google My Business Profile from Search and Maps. As well as adding or updating your ordering options, such as pick-up or delivery. You will also be able to enable online bookings from Search if you’re signed up with a Reserve with Google partner.
Lastly, until September 30th, eligible retailers will be able to have a free trial of Pointy. Pointy is a hardware device which attaches to a point-of-sale scanner to pull product information and add it to Surfaces across Google. This free trial will help local businesses decide whether or not it’s a worth investment for their business.
