Users can add a fingerprint, face or iris scan to their mobile app which will then be used to access web versions. This tool is optional and will only work if users have enabled it.

This new feature has been implemented due to the increase in desktop users while people have been stuck at home. This also means that WhatsApp are working on more updates to bring the web and mobile versions of the platform closer together.
