Facebook is improving their ecommerce offering within the main Facebook app and Instagram. Since the start of the pandemic a lot of businesses have moved online. So now Facebook wants to launch a similar experience to the Instagram shop on Facebook.
This will be a shopping destination to find products from a variety of different businesses. Unlike Facebook Marketplace which is peer to peer. With this new tool business will also have access to design layouts, real-time collection previews and the ability to automatically create shops if you’re a new seller. Consumers will also be able to message sellers through Messenger, Whatsapp or Instagram Direct.
