In the last year searches for ‘available near me’ have grown by more than 100%. It’s important to make it easy for customers to find you. But Google has had feedback from advertisers who struggled to setup location extensions due to the necessity to connect to Google My Business.

    To address this feedback, Google have introduced a list of business chains to choose from. In just a few clicks you can select your chosen chain and create a location extension. This uses the same location information that populates Google Maps, meaning there is up to date information for over 22,000 business chains.

    Although this doesn’t benefit non-chain businesses, it’s still a strong improvement based on feedback given to Google.
