Google has announced the launch of a new and improved crawl stats report for Search Console. This is currently being rolled out so you may not have access yet.
This report is designed to make it easier for developers, webmasters and seo specialists to discover issues with Google crawling. The report will show the total number of requests, grouped by response code, crawled file type, crawl purpose, and Googlebot type. It will show detailed information on host status and URL examples where site requests occurred. It will also provide a comprehensive summary for properties with multiple hosts.
This report will include a chart that shows your crawl stats over time. You will be able to view total crawl requests, total download size or average response time.
