Pinterest are trialing online events and they are testing a new feature that allows users to sign up for zoom classes through the platform.
Creators can access class boards to organise class materials and resources. They can also connect with class attendees through a group chat feature. Pinterest has confirmed that this new feature is an experimental test, but wouldn’t expand further. There are some examples under @pinsmeditation and @pinzoom123, however there is no content in their class communities as the feature is still classed as unreleased.
When a user wants to join a class, they can click a ‘book’ button to sign up, they will then be sent a confirmation email. When teachers switched to remote learning Pinterest searches soared as they used the space to organise their lesson plans and get inspiration. Due to this, it’s no surprise that Pinterest is testing tools to enter the online learning and event space.
