Google has updated their street view app on Android, so now it’s easy to collect you own imagery and place it right in Google Maps.
With the app’s new connected photo tool, you can record a number of connected images as you move down a street. These images are captured using ARCore. Once you’ve recorded and published your images, the Street View app automatically positions them. This means you’ll be able to add routes that haven’t previously been accessible to Google maps or improve the street view for areas which have seen rapid change.
