Back in 2019 Google notified advertisers about a new program which would automatically make changes in ad accounts. Users had to manually opt out if they didn’t want to be included.

After the announcement nothing much happened until recently. Some advertising agencies have started to find keywords in their accounts that they didn’t add. These automatic changes also don’t show in change history. It turns out this account had been added into the auto apply program at a maximum impact level.
