TikTok’s mission is to inspire creativity and they have pledged a commitment to inclusivity. To consider themselves a truly inclusive platform they have committed to working on a series of photosensitivity features.

The TikTok team has met with epilepsy advocates to get their feedback on improvements that can be made to the platform. One of the first features from these talks, was a warning for creators when they’re producing videos with effects that could trigger photosensitive epilepsy. In the coming weeks they will also be implementing a second feature which allows users to opt out of photosensitive content completely. 

TikTok are implementing these new tools, but creators and advertisers should definitely be considering the accessibility of their content too.
