Who are they
Animates are an innovative digital platform that connects pets with their forever owners. Their website lists over 1,200 animals from more than 300 shelters that are seeking homes. Their mission is simple; to make animal adoption and pet rescue simple and straightforward.
Animates are dedicated to finding pets their new owners and supporting UK shelters to rehome animals. On their website, you can search for cats or dogs currently up for adoption, contact a shelter and even donate to cover the animal’s care.
Animates offer an excellent service but found they were lacking the traffic to their site to begin these adoption journeys.
What did our client need?
Animates primary goal is always to rehome animals with their new owners and ensure every animal is given a chance.
Firstly, Animates wanted to increase the volume of traffic to their site and the number of enquiries for available pets. They also wanted to generation donations for shelters. Lastly, they wanted to recruit potential animal adopters to populate their database that powers animal availability emails.
Blue Thirst knew that paid social media ads would be the best way to achieve this, especially on Facebook, due to the detailed audience targeting options.
Our Strategy
Animates had three main goals of their campaigns. These were to gain registered users for their animal alerts, to gain donations for the shelters looking after these animals and to get enquiries from potential future owners.
We deployed a set of Facebook campaigns to showcase these animals, which covered:
- Lead generation ads – we used these to recruit potential animal adopters for the animal alert emails
- Location specific – we used carousel ads that showcased the animals available in that user’s area
- Donation generation – we used extended location ads that generated donations to support shelters
