Outdoor Gear are a leading outdoor equipment company selling a wide range of clothing, footwear, tents, rucksacks and more. They have everything to suit whatever adventure you’re going on, be it a trek up a mountain with their vast variety of hiking gear, or wellies, a raincoat and a durable tent for a festival. They sell a range of top brands such as Regatta, Jack Wolfskin, Hunter, Craghoppers, Vango and many more – all at extremely competitive prices.

What did our client need

We have worked with Outdoor Gear for over 4 years now, mostly on paid search and shopping campaigns. Their demand is ultra-seasonal on a very large scale as they carry many thousands of products at any one time. We have built a robust methodology to creating and optimising campaigns for this large scale client. Outdoor Gear have a strict cost of sale target that we need to achieve with constantly changing stock levels.

Our approach was delivered in phases, ranging from creating seasonal-specific search and shopping campaigns to integrating automation into the campaigns to match the products to the season.

The Outdoor Gear account has really benefited from the implementation of new Google Ads features. This includes Smart Shopping campaigns, Responsive Search ads and the Auction Insights tool.
